"Nobody can hear you Scream"
Former UK Ambassador gives Parliamentary Committee evidence of UK Government Complicity in Torture

Yesterday, Tuesday, former UK Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Craig Murray, gave evidence to the UK's parliamentary Joint Committee on Human Rights of what he believes is damning complicity of the UK government in receiving evidence obtained under torture.

The entire proceedings are recorded on video on the parliamentary TV video player and recorded on YouTube as well as included on the blog, Ten Percent. The first part of the YouTube video is to be seen below.

Unsurprisingly, events passed by the MSM with nary a comment, the exception being a report by the BBC hidden deep in one of its websites.

"Just before I gave my evidence to Parliament yesterday," comments Craig Murray on his blog, "my sister Celia telephoned me to say that I would be speaking not for myself but for all those thousands who had suffered unspeakable torture around the World in the War on Terror, whose screams and sometimes death rattles were heard only by their torturers. She told me I was speaking for those who could not speak."

"But I am completely astonished, and horribly depressed, that there has been almost no mainstream media of this quite sensational information."

"I really cannot understand why no newspaper or TV channel has covered what is quite a startling development in a prominent continuing story on the use of torture in the War on Terror."

"I had hoped that my evidence yesterday would be a significant step in ending the policy of obtaining intelligence from torture, and of bringing to account the ministers who approved it. But without any sign of public or media interest, the politicians will feel they can safely ignore the truth I told."

This blogger sympathises with and supports Craig Murray's feelings. Standing up to the lies and deceit of a corrupt government and establishment Craig Murray has campaigned tirelessly over several years for the truth to be known. Indeed, given the explosive nature of his story, it is singularly remarkable that his views were finally given an airing on the parliamentary JCHR. And given the huge investment made by the MSM in covering-up the government's war criminality and complicity in torture it is hardly surprising that this signal event should have gone ignored.

In current parlance, Craig Murray's appearance at the JCHR was nothing less than a defining moment that now must not be allowed to fall down the memory hole. If the MSM won't cover it then the alternative media must. I am therefore appealing to all those active in the blogosphere to post this information far and wide. The world must hear the truth.

A lengthy and insightful interview with Craig Murray is at Lenin's Tomb: "A man of the highest principle": an interview with Craig Murray.

Printing Police Lies

The policing of the G20 protests at the beginning of this month was routine. Policemen hiding their identification numbers and beating up peaceful protesters is as much a part of British life as grey skies and red buses. Across 20 years of protests, I have seen policemen swapping their jackets to avoid identification, hurling people against vans and into walls and whomping old ladies over the head with batons ...

The police behave like this, despite the opprobrium of left and right, because they know they will get away with it. They know that the government won’t rein them in; that the Independent Police Complaints Commission eats out of their hands; that the sternest sanction an officer can expect for beating or killing a passer-by is some extended gardening leave. They know that in a few days’ time the rightwing press will revert to publishing stories about the anarchist baby-eaters seeking to turn Britain into a bloodbath.

How to tell I'm not a terrorist
We Muslims clearly need to help panicking police and border officials. Would a big tattoo help?

So it turns out that the 12 Muslims arrested two weeks ago – you know, the ones who, according to Gordon Brown, were planning a "very big terrorist plot" – were doing nothing of the sort. The arrests and subsequent release highlight how, in a time of heightened concern, anyone who is male and Muslim – and, even worse, happens to have Pakistani heritage – can get mistaken for a potential terrorist. It isn't just the police who have a problem telling the difference. The trouble is that it isn't obvious who is a benign, peace-loving Briton who happens to be Muslim, and who is a rage-filled Islamist intent on causing mayhem.

Conspiracy Theorists Were Right All Along!

All the federal government’s offensive and defensive mechanisms are being put in place while the lowly sheep await the slaughter. More economic tensions with more unemployment along with over-zealous police thugs bent on revenue creation; what will be the straw that breaks the proverbial camel’s back? What will it take before civil unrest is not just discussed on talk shows, but is evident in the streets of America? How much unrest will be tolerated by the now fully armed military-type police before they become physical?

If you want to continue to hide your head in the sand, don’t dare connect these dots! We now have militarized police, combat soldiers on our streets, war-zone materials and weaponry in the hands of domestic government agents, FEMA camps, and a neutered rule of law. These atrocious changes have happened quickly, and at a time of civil restlessness. Is this a coincidence? I think not. Everything happens for a reason, and this time that reason is easy to spot. Are you looking? If not, you had better open your eyes soon!

Rory's Comment: A similar militarization of the police is taking place in Britain. This blogger thinks it is no coincidence. The Anglo-American 'special interest' alliance means that USUK capitalism is joined at the hip.

Underscoring the Vile and Shameful Hypocrisy of the West

Abraham Lincoln described a hypocrite as a man who murdered both his parents... and pleaded for mercy on the grounds that he was an orphan. The vile and shameful hypocrisy of the West in order to accommodate Israel has no boundaries - with no end in sight ...

... It comes as no surprise that the Obama administration boycotts Durban II with a few other “Western” countries in tow - at the behest of Israel. What is offensive to those who appreciate equality and abhor racism is the hypocrisy of a country whose Prime Minister declared openly: "[The Palestinians] are beasts walking on two legs."-Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin, speech to the Knesset, quoted in Amnon Kapeliouk, "Begin and the 'Beasts,"' (New Statesman, June 25,1982). Did any “Western” country protest or find this racist remark to be vile and shameful?

A Corrupt, Lying Government and its Politicized Police Force

Right from the start this blogger sensed that the Easter 'anti-terror' raids were politically-motivated and carried out by a politicized police force whose primary agenda seems to be to serve an oppressive, corrupt and lying government.

It's good to see a major blogger like Craig Murray agree:

Gordon Brown and Jacqui Smith Terror Lies Revealed

Only two of the twelve people arrested in dramatic "terror raids" in the North West of England are still in police custody. Nine more were released from anti-terror detention on Tuesday. Their arrest was first headline on all news bulletins and announced by no less than the Prime Minister himself. Sky News is saying that despite the total lack of evidence against them, they are still regarded as a security threat and thus are being deported - thus getting rid of the embarassment of these innocent men being able to talk to the press.

The criminalisation of political dissent in Britain

Since the start of April, some 300 people have been arrested and detained in just three police operations. The vast majority of these were rounded up in two of these operations, both focusing on a supposed threat to “public order”.

Maintaining public order is now a pseudonym for the criminalising of political dissent.

Even before the G20 summit of world leaders began in London, five people were arrested in Plymouth under the Terrorism Act, reportedly accused of possessing “material relating to political ideology”.

All were released without charge, but the fact that political activism is considered a criminal offence in 21st century Britain was subsequently writ large on the streets of the capital.

Labour is stifling the right to protest

The news that government officials have been passing intelligence on climate change activists to a power company serves to underline the unhealthy closeness between big business and the British government during the Labour years. What was traditionally thought to be a Tory weakness is now palpably a Labour one, for the government is not just enthralled by polluters but also those international giants that are intent on selling surveillance systems; think of the expensive bits of hard and software which have been, or are being, purchased for e-Borders, identity cards and communications interception and storage.

Rory's Comment: The conclusion that Guardian journalist Henry Porter will not arrive at must, however, be made: a government that works hand-in-glove with corporate interests such as we now have both here in Britain and the USA can only be described as fascist. The Totalitarianizing of Britain: The crushing of eco-protest brings shame on our police

This blogger among others echoed Noam Chomsky's warning after 911 that the greatest danger facing the West was not from terrorism but from the assault on our liberties that would inevitably take place as a result of the 'security measures' that would be put in place. Predictably, that assault took place and the rule of law has been replaced, thanks to Messrs Bush and Blair, by police state rule.

The persecution of Muslims was just the beginning. Now that that phase has mostly played itself out the next to be persecuted are domestic dissidents and protest groups. What the UK police did at Kingsnorth last year and more recently at the London G20 protests mark a more ominous turn of the screw.

Gradually, those in the establishment are waking up. Let's hope that there is still time in order to halt what looks like an inexorable slide into totalitarianism. Journalist, Henry Porter, writes in yesterday's Observer:

This is the end-product of the disastrous legislative assault on Britain's rights and liberties inaugurated by Tony Blair. We are now in a crisis of moral or perhaps deep psychic inconsistency, with a government that in one half of its brain desires good PR on climate change but in the other half seethes with the authoritarian desire to stamp out an impertinent challenge to its record of inactivity. The manifestation of this arrogance can be seen in the police officers at the G20 demonstrations who covered their faces and removed their identifying numbers from their uniforms before lashing out at demonstrators - perhaps killing Ian Tomlinson - and the tactic of "kettling", which wrongly deprives people of their liberty, as well as risks their safety.

Stop Spending Our Future!

Although the figures in the video apply to the USA the same pattern of reckless spending is going on in Gordon Brown's Britain:

... The debt is getting out of control and we and our children will have to pay it off. In the UK there is little sign of any make-work Keynesian projects that are being planned in America, and in fact Mervyn King slapped-down Gordon Brown when he suggested a 'fiscal stimulus' to create jobs.

The capitalists here only want to fund rescue packages for the financial sector and their capitalist interests. Obama, with a new political mandate paid for by his chums on Wall Street has secured some fiscal stimulus for the US economy, but the costs are huge overall and most of the money is shoring-up bank balance sheets, as here.

Really its just populist cover for looting taxpayers of huge sums of money for generations to come and it is splitting elite opinion.

Conservatives/Republicans only want to loot taxpayers for their private gain, they don't want any social or welfare spending, they want that slashed.

... Ordinary American people know that both political parties are ripping them off.

The important thing to note is the huge scale of the crime by people using bought political power, in my opinion. Until ordinary people wake-up to what is being done to them they will not oppose capitalist looting for private gain. And as with WWI and WWII it's ordinary people who will have to service and pay-off these huge debts through higher taxes and slashing cuts in welfare, social care, health care, education - in fact the very things society needs to function.

Medialens

Perhaps I should add ... that the government, here and in the US, could simply have nationalised the banks. They're insolvent anyway so it would not have cost taxpayers anything, but it would have wiped-out capitalist share-holders.

They could have cleaned-up their books and put deflating toxic assets in a holding bank, underwritten by taxpayer guarantees.

They could have prosecuted these Ponzi-scamming thieves and jailed them for hundreds of years and used the banking sector under public ownership for the good of society. They've done none of this.

They've simply looted taxpayers and rewarded those that bankroll them into political positions of power with huge bonuses and pensions.

I hope people remember that the next time they vote, as they will also be losing jobs, homes, and the means of their subsistence thanks to voting capitalists into political power.

Has Cheney been Murdering Americans?

The stunning revelation from our nation’s premiere investigative reporter, Seymour Hersh, that Vice President Dick Cheney was running an “executive assassination ring” directly under his control and outside of the normal chain of command has raised the specter that the Vice President of the United States may have been murdering Americans. As a scholar who has invested a considerable effort in the investigation of the death of US Senator Paul Wellstone, this comes as no surprise. I and other experts with whom I have collaborated long since concluded that the crash that took his life and those of his wife, daughter, three aides and two pilots was brought about deliberately, where Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and Karl Rove are the principal suspects. Other cases in which assassination appears all too probable include those of NFL star Pat Tillman and of 9/11 activist Beverly Eckert ... I expect additional evidence to clarify the death of the 9/11 activist Beverly Eckert, but there is a discernable pattern here. In relation to the question with which we began, therefore, “Has Cheney been murdering Americans?”, the research I have reviewed suggests that the answer, alas!, appears to be an unequivocal “Yes!”

Resist or Become Serfs

The bullet to our head, inevitable if we do not radically alter course, will be sudden. We have been borrowing at the rate of more than $2 billion a day over the last 10 years, and at some point it has to stop. The moment China, the oil-rich states and other international investors stop buying treasury bonds the dollar will become junk. Inflation will rocket upward. We will become Weimar Germany. A furious and sustained backlash by a betrayed and angry populace, one unprepared intellectually and psychologically for collapse, will sweep aside the Democrats and most of the Republicans. A cabal of proto-fascist misfits, from Christian demagogues to simpletons like Sarah Palin to loudmouth talk show hosts, who we naively dismiss as buffoons, will find a following with promises of revenge and moral renewal. The elites, the ones with their Harvard Business School degrees and expensive vocabularies, will retreat into their sheltered enclaves of privilege and comfort. We will be left bereft and abandoned outside the gates.

Pakistani 'terror plot suspects' to be deported rather than charged

In what looks increasingly like a politically-motivated, phoney anti-terror raid, Operation Pathway underscores the callous, racist nature of both Gordon Brown's Nu Labor rule and a politicized police force which oversees its reign of terror.

Lives are wrecked and Muslims terrorised for political gain. A Medialens commentator rightly observes:

How casually the British establishment will destroy the lives of these innocent young people (studies terminated, families harassed, deported to Pakistan where a warm welcome from the ISI awaits etc) all because they were selected, more or less at random I would imagine, for bit parts in the latest police state PR exercise.

It's disgusting. And depressing that none of the individual human beings involved in this sorry episode (on the side of the authorites) appear have courage and/or conscience in sufficient measure to do something about it - eg. REFUSING TO OBEY IMMORAL ORDERS.

Police Assault a Woman at G20 Protest

New video shows police assaulting a woman at the memorial for Ian Tomlinson who died after being assaulted by police during the G20 protests.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) has promised to investigate the incident. What is astonishing is that while there was widespread evidence of police violence during the G20 protests only the most blatantly obvious --one involving a death-- are being investigated.

The IPCC has already thoroughly discredited itself over the way it mishandled the Ian Tomlinson investigation. Whatever comes out of these 'investigations' will be little more than farcical. Meantime the police officer seen assaulting Ian Tomlinson has still not been questioned and we are being told that a post-mortem will take anything up to three years!

The Independent: Mass arrests have no place in a democratic country

There are times, and they seem to be growing more frequent, when the civil liberties we still associate with life in Britain suddenly start to look dangerously fragile. Yesterday was one such occasion. We woke up to the news that 114 people had been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit aggravated trespass and criminal damage. This deserves to be spelled out. More than 100 people were arrested in the Sneinton Dale area of Nottingham not for committing an offence, but for allegedly planning to do so. In other words, they were arrested pre-emptively.

Comment from Medialens

There is certainly a "political" message being put out here in a theatrical and sinister manner by the police. It is obvious to all except the politically blind, mass media and right wing consensus that the police authorities are again indulging in political activities which restricts the right to protest. They have always done so, the state and police have always regarded anyone left of centre as a threat and enemy.

Thus the illegal imprisonment of the entire executive of the communist party during the 1926 general strike, no charges were ever bought, they were just arrested on mass and locked up, its a wonder they were not put in the Tower. Such occurences happened quite often, the Daily Worker was banned for a time as being "seditious". The TUC headquarters was bugged, MI5 agents proliferate within the trade union movement and no doubt within the environmental groups there are secret police spies.

Do not ever believe that we live in a free country and democracy, it is only as free and as democratic as the ruling class allow it to be. During the present economic and social crisis the rules governing us will tighten. The positive aspect is that as yet they do not control the internet and enlightened commentators in the press are realising the danger.

Celente Calls for "Revolution" as the Only Solution

Taxed to death, angry at government bailouts, outraged by Wall Street greed, and bitterly resentful of a system that rewards the undeserving rich, the American public is ready to revolt.

"The Tea Parties and Tax Protests sprouting across the nation, which we had predicted, are harbingers of revolution," said Gerald Celente, Director of The Trends Research Institute. "But they are not enough. Much stronger and directed action is required. Our call for 'Revolution' will galvanize the people, destroy the corrupt ruling systems, and produce a prosperous and more just nation."

The Revolution Celente proposes is unique in concept and bold in execution. It is about a lot more than just "taxation without representation."

Britain is protecting the biggest heroin crop of all time

Our presence in Afghanistan and Iraq is the greatest recruiting sergeant for Islamic militants. As the great diplomat, soldier and adventurer Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Alexander Burnes pointed out before his death in the First Afghan War in 1841, there is no point in a military campaign in Afghanistan as every time you beat them, you just swell their numbers. Our only real achievement to date is falling street prices for heroin in London.

Remember this article next time you hear a politician calling for more troops to go into Afghanistan. And when you hear of another brave British life wasted there, remember you can add to the casualty figures all the young lives ruined, made miserable or ended by heroin in the UK.

More US Terrorism in Afghanistan
Night-time raid on home leaves five civilians dead - 10 Apr 09

Afghan ambassador to the US says, “This is a price that we have to pay if we want security and stability in Afghanistan, the region and the world” echoing his master’s voice that is clearly heard throughout the years and in place after place, such as when Madeleine Albright said that the death of so many children in Iraq due to sanctions was a heavy price but worth it.

Can you imagine civilian deaths in the US being spoken of like this by a US ambassador if someone was attacking the US in order to stop their deceitful and devastating wars of aggression and help return peace and stability to the lands the US has attacked? Wouldn’t such an ambassador be labeled a traitor? Or perhaps the citizens of the US would be happy to have someone from outside attacking them in order to effect a regime change (since elections change nothing of consequence) and help them fight their own “enemy within” which has only helped make the rich richer and the poor poorer and has even orchestrated terrorist attacks against the US’s own citizens such as on 9/11?

Don’t think so somehow.

Dictatorship Watch

We the People ...

As a result of the death of Ian Tomlinson and the video and verbal evidence indicating several assaults on him by the police prior to his death the wider case of police brutality during the G20 protests is now getting publicity.

In today's Guardian article, several instances of police brutality are listed. Yet these are just a sample of a police-instigated violence which went on throughout the protests. The wider picture is of a police force out of control and one which was carrying-out the orders of senior officers to create riot conditions in which non-violent protesters would be assaulted and intimidated.

And in a politicized police force like that of the UK who, then, gave the senior officers directions but our rulers themselves?

Of course, the British establishment remains silent. It will not raise a single voice against police behaviour which was predictably meant to protect the interests of the state against a dissenting people. While that is understood there is absolutely no reason why a dissenting people should remain silent. While the state's apparatchiks and the MSM in general have done everything they can to either ridicule the protests or to present them as the acts of 'the scum of society' the reality is that the protesters reflected the popular feelings of the vast majority of the British people. And no amount of ridicule will change that truth.

We are only just at the very beginning of turbulent times. Capitalism as we knew it is certainly in demise. It may well be that our rulers intend to turn their temporary loss into long-term advantage by, as Adrian Salbuchi suggests, using the collapse to create a global currency and oppressive New World Order. What is clear in any event is that if ordinary people do nothing to resist their conspiracies then we shall get what our docile behaviour brings about. As that old Tory historian, Edmund Burke, once wrote, "For evil to triumph it only requires that good people do nothing."

A Medialens commentator writes:

The police and military aren't ours, aren't under our democratic control. They're behaving like thug-muscle for gangsters.

"This is not a metaphor!"

Any populace, with or -- as in our wretched case -- without a written, legally-enforceable constitution, can assume as a matter of basic human rights that when the state forces are DE FACTO out of democratic control, and are serving actual masters of questionable legitimacy, then they too lose all claim to legitimacy. They lose the right to our support and cooperation, and they lose the right to public funding drawn from common taxes.

What he says could have applied equally to the events which led to the American Revolution when the call No Taxation without Representation led to the Boston Tea Party. We in 21st Century Britain would now do well to revive that call. For we too are in a situation where our taxes are being used not only to finance an oppressive police force but their apologists in the BBC and elsewhere. And more than this it is being used to bolster a widely unpopular, unelected Prime Minister in charge of a corrupt, oligarchic rule using taxpayer's money to bail out the vast losses made by a system whose nature is both anti-life and anti-social.

the R-word is in the air more and more just recently. Necessarily. And here's a definition ... which underlines the fundamental changes that it implies, but without necessarily falling into the violence, bloodshed and death that has subverted so many previous revolutions into tyranny:

"A dramatic and wide-reaching change in the way something works or is organised, or in peoples ideas about it"

Medialens

Dramatic and wide-reaching change is what this blogger is calling for. Not a bloody or violent insurrection. When I call for Revolution I mean it literally, that is to say for the widespread recognition that we are collectively at the end of one cycle and the beginning of another. And for Brits this must significantly mean not only the end of the post-war Bretton Woods 'Pax Americana' but of the fag-end of the British Empire which has for so long attached itself desperately to American imperialism in the hope of prolonging its sell-by date. Both the imperialism of the British and American ruling classes has run out of time.

They are finished.

Now all that remains is for their manipulated and brain-washed masses, lied to and bribed for decades since the general blood-letting of WWII, to acknowledge that and prepare themselves for the new world that is coming. And it's coming whether we like it or not.

Over the next couple of decades, we're going to be passing through that without the option. The Limits ensure it. So why not embrace it promptly, and do something right now about the deep, terminal rottenness now spreading through the fag-end of the English imperial state? The longer we leave it, in favour of comfortable sleepwalking, the worse it gets. The gics, [gangsters-in-charge] their state thugs (both overt and secret), their pocket-pols, and their propagandists think that we're pushover pussy-cats. And so far they're right.

Medialens

Yes, the longer we leave it the worse it gets. Not just for a few but for us all. Until, that is, we start uniting together --as humans always have done-- to protect our lives and our families and what freedoms we have wrested from our rulers through struggle. The time for that process to begin is Now.

Operation Pathway: Another politically motivated Hoax?

Craig Murray has just made a blistering attack on Premier Gordon Brown, Home Secretary Jacqui Smith and Nu Labour, accusing them and it of having conducted a politically-motivated anti-terror raid in the north-west of England.

Craig draws a parallel with the famous Liquid-Bomb Hoax and the recent raid, 'Operation Pathway'. All too often the police make so-called anti-terror raids in which several arrests are made --of mainly Muslims-- only for most of the arrestees to be later released and the case quietly dropped.

Craig alleges that the circumstances around this latest raid point to it having been made for political reasons and to get the government off the hook in a very difficult week for it. That may very well be so. But there is another reason: Brown and Co are busy massaging the British public, making out Pakistan to be the bad guy, in preparation for an all-out attack on that country by the Anglo-Saxon Axis.

The Al Qaeda bogeyman has again been resurrected by the 'War on Terror' propagandists. Soon as it is I know we are dealing with a hoax. Why? Because Al Qaeda doesn't exist. It exists only as a fictional organisation which serves the propaganda of the post-911 Bushites, inherited now by Obama and Brown.

And interesting that a "Dutch TV jury has found Osama bin Laden not guilty of the Sept. 11 attacks"

A "jury of two men and three women, along with the studio audience, ruled there was no proof bin Laden was the mastermind behind the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon in 2001."

The jury accepted that "bin Laden's connection to Sept. 11 was a product of 'Western propaganda.' The jury also ruled there was insufficient evidence to prove bin Laden was the real head of terrorist network al-Qaida."

Dutch TV show exonerates Osama bin Laden

Hooray for Dutch TV. I have always believed that the Al Qaeda hoax, along with the equally phoney 'War on Terror', would sooner-or-later be laid to rest. Seems like Dutch TV got there first. Meanwhile we in Orwellian Britain are made to believe fairy-tales in order that political crimes are committed by police-state politicians.

Terror Raids Unearth Huge Amount of Bullshit

Who will stand up to the Bully Boys in Blue?

This is a video of the way Kent police treated climate protesters at the Kingsnorth Climate Camp in August 2008.

Using harassment, inordinate force and anti-Terror Law legislation the bully boys simply went ape-shit against a crowd of non-violent protesters. Their excuse for doing so was, according to one plod, that they had received intelligence reports requiring them to ensure the safety of the peace camp!!

Instead, what we see here is almost a dry-run for what was played out again with even more force and hi-tech oppression at the London G20. The police might be carrying-out the violence but behind them is a Nu Labour government which is providing them with all the means to do so. Ultimately, it is the politicians who must bear the responsibility on this attack against the British people.

While politicians queue up to tell us all how wonderful our police are, the facts keep pointing in the opposite direction...

No matter what the evidence politicians of all the main parties will trumpet the same line, we have the best police force in the world. Its that attitude that led to the death of Ian Tomlinson. The fact that all major polticial parties have treated policing as a vote winner on the back of tabloid editorials rather than for what is best for the country.

Year after year the failures and excesses of the police are ignored for to do otherwise would incur the wrath of The Sun and the rest of the gutter press. Instead politicians hand more and more powers to the police until they become drunk with authoritarian zeal. The end product is a police state, kettling and Ian Tomlinson.

When is any mainstream politician going to be honest enough to admit we have a piss poor police force that is now out of control?

Salbuchi: Global Financial Collapse and World Government

An Argentine opinion on the Global Financial Crisis, describing the whole Global Financial System as one vast Ponzi Scheme. Like a pyramid, it has four sides and is a predictable model. The four sides are: (1) Artificially control the supply of public State-issued Currency, (2) Artificially impose Banking Money as the primary source of funding in the economy, (3) Promote doing everything by Debt and (4) Erect complex channels that allow privatizing profits when the Model is in expansion mode and socialize losses when the model goes into contraction mode.

How will the Global Financial Collapse end? Are we on the way towards global war and world government?

Craig Murray: Lies and Innuendo in the Ian Tomlinson Case

We ... need a radical reconstruction of a police force which thinks it can attack and kill members of the public with impunity, and of the legal framework in which they operate. The legal system has ruled in terms that police may kill people and then may lie about it in court.

http://www.craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2008/12/the_disgraceful.html

We have reached the stage in the UK where we need a revolutionary change. We have to sweep out the old order of corrupt politicians whose one guiding principle is to keep their own snouts in the trough: of City bankers who are multi-millionaires from their bubble scams and whose lifestyles and jobs the ordinary people are now supporting by a massive tax and debt burden, while nobody guarantees the jobs of those ordinary people who fund it all.

We have to realise that the end of the centuries old prohibition of torture by agents of the state is of a piece with the freedom of the police to maintain the system of power by fatal force, in both cases without consequence. You cannot separate this brutalisation of power from the illegal war that killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, and thousands of our own soldiers, on the basis of a lie but really to secure oil.

The whole system stinks from the head like a fish. And people are starting at last to understand where the smell comes from.

Police TSG has Violent and Racist 'form'

The Territorial Support Group, one of whose member's --hidden behind a balaclava-- was seen attacking an innocent G20 bystander --Ian Tomlinson-- who later died, has a violent and racist history. A Medialens commentator writes about the TSG:

TSG Police officers in abuse case accused of 60 other assaults Met reveals four were subject of dozens of allegations by black or Asian men.

• March 2007: one officer is accused of bundling a man into the back of a police van where he was told to "get on his knees". When he replied this was not Guantánamo Bay he claims the officer grabbed him round the neck and "discharged his CS gas while continuing to hold his throat". He says he was then thrown from the van, leaving him with eye, neck and head injuries. According to the document no action was taken because the complaint was either "incapable of proof" or there was "no case to answer".

• November 2005: two of the officers were accused by a "black male" of attacking him in the back of a police van. The document states that he was subjected to "constant kicking to his head and stomach (approx 12 kicks). Head lifted off the floor by grabbing his right ear and lifting head." The attack left the man with bruising and swelling to his face but the case was not pursued, the Met said, because of "non-cooperation" by the complainant.

• October 2005: the document stated that two of the officers were involved in another assault on a "black male". It read: "In van repeatedly assaulted - kicks to the face, stamps on his head whilst handcuffed." The victim said afterwards he "felt like he might die". Vomiting and blood coming out of his ears, black swollen eye, lip busted, hands very swollen.

• June 2003: two officers accused of beating a "black male" in the back of the TSG van. "The beating continued in the van and in a search room at the station."
The allegations against the officers came to light after the high court issued a disclosure order on 13 February demanding that the Metropolitan police release all "similar fact allegations" against the officers involved in the Ahmad case. "Scotland Yard admit there are concerns about the conduct of the officers. Although the Independent Police Complaints Commission supervised an investigation carried out by the Met, none of the officers has been disciplined for the assault on Ahmad and all but one are still working in the territorial support group"

Police violence in the UK has now become endemic. Police power --as a result of the Anti-Terror laws-- has become pronounced and is regularly abused. Britain is being turned into a police state. If politicians don't act now to rein-in the police then they must be held primarily responsible for creating a police state. Mr Tomlinson's death illustrates what is only the tip of an iceberg --one of collusion between politicians and the police.

New Video Clearly Shows Police Assault

A new video released by ITN clearly shows Ian Tomlinson being lashed with a baton by a policeman.

The second video, released yesterday by The Guardian, shows Mr Tomlinson being violently pushed to the ground by the same policeman after being lashed by his baton.

'Will you open fire on UK citizens?' Army personnel being asked

In a stunning conversation with a friend, who is a serving member of the Armed Forces, over the weekend, it was revealed that transfers to regiments and other units in the UK on home duties are being undertaken by the MOD based upon whether an individual was prepared to 'open fire' on UK citizens during civil disturbances.

BBC film shows only violent protesters

BBC News is at last reporting the Ian Tomlinson Case. No doubt it was embarrassed into doing so now that other sections of the British press are reporting it and the Liberal Democrats are calling for a criminal inquiry.

But even so it couldn't do it without perverting the facts. Here's what a Medialens commentator had to say about it:

BBC news 24 cleverly mixed in only footage of the few violent incidents of the G20 protest when reporting the police assault on Ian Tomlinson, thus giving the impression that the protests were "violent". The mealy mouthed commentator remarked that the police had been "under a great deal of pressure".

No mention of the violent police break up of the climate camp, no mention that the violence happned well after the police penned in the demonstrators, no mention that people have the right to protest. Also no representative of any organiser of the demonstrations to give their opinion. The unbiased BBC!
