A Major War Crime: How the USUK systematically destroyed Iraq

Among the many hollow arguments produced by the warmongers' apologists is perhaps the most desperate one: it was necessary to invade Iraq to liberate its people from an evil dictator. But any reasonably intelligent reader with a passable understanding of the significance of geostrategics as expressed in documents such as Zbigniew Brzezinski's book, The Grand Chessboard, and the neocons' Project for a New American Century, would understand that the real prize to be had was Oil and the hegemonizing of the Middle East.

A new book, Cultural Cleansing in Iraq, contends that the Bush administration’s objectives were to demonstrate US global dominance and remake 'the strategic Middle East' to suit the US. “To that end, the invasion of Iraq would display America’s crushing military power to a world reduced to the status of spectators in a spectacle of a state’s destruction, marked by massive civilian casualties, cultural devastation and the pauperisation of its people.”

Subsequent chapters show how Iraq’s state structures were systematically destroyed along with the independent secular nationalist socialist regime.

This began with the looting of the country’s museums and libraries, schools and universities. Although Iraqis carried out most of the pillage and destruction, the US was responsible for what took place ...

... The 13 authors of this work say the US set out to destroy Iraq’s national identity, reduce and marginalise the educated class and wipe the Iraqi slate clean in order to build from ground zero a weak state which would be dependent on the US. This experiment in “state ending” has left a black hole at the heart of the eastern Arab world.

The United States, its abandonment of law and worse

We have entered a period of government lawlessness, led by the United States, with inevitably serious consequences for everyone. Nuclear war is a possibility. With climate change threatening the planet itself, we do not need this as well. Europe must cease supporting this berserk state. It needs to recover the vision, the spirit of goodwill and humanity that laid the foundations of the European Union. In following America, Europe has lost its way.

American behaviour extends beyond inhumanity into viciousness. The character of Barack Obama, which in dealing with non-Americans is no different from that of George W. Bush, also shows the American characteristic of cruelty without limits.

Make Wars History: A Civil Obedience Campaign

Make Wars History is an association of peace activists working to end war. Horrified at the casual way in which the US and UK Governments violated international law by waging war on Iraq and Afghanistan killing thousands of innocent people, peace activists set up an international civil obedience campaign to force Coalition Governments and leaders to obey the laws of war.

Politicians who start wars break the law and breach their oaths of office. To be effective the laws of war require politicians to obey them, police to enforce them, the public to uphold them and offenders to answer to them in court.

We will stop governments from waging war by ensuring that police arrest leaders who start wars, courts try politicians for complicity in war, taxpayers withhold taxes that pay for war, armed forces refuse to fight illegal war, businesses refuse to supply weapons of war, journalists tell the truth about war, the public learns the laws of war and Parliaments legislate to prohibit all war.

You can help by joining the world’s first civil obedience campaign pursuing the path of peace, justice and the rule of law.

Try the War Criminals!

On this 70th anniversary of the start of WW2 note that post-war Germans adopted a protocol summarized by the acronym CAAAA (C4A) and involving Cessation of the killing, Acknowledgment of the crimes, Apology, Amends and Assertion "never again to anyone".

In the Occupied Palestinian, Iraqi and Afghan Territories post-invasion non-violent excess deaths total 0.3 million, 1.0 million and 3.2 million, respectively; post-invasion violent deaths total about 11,000, 1.3 million and up to 4 million, respectively; post-invasion under-5 infant deaths total 0.2 million, 0.6 million and 2.3 million, respectively; and refugees total 7 million, 6 million and 4 million, respectively – this constituting a Palestinian Genocide, Iraqi Genocide and Afghan Genocide as defined by Article 2 of the UN Genocide Convention and war crimes from Occupier non-supply of life-sustaining food and medical requisites demanded unequivocally by Articles 55 and 56 of the Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War. [1-3].

There must be war crimes trials at the International Criminal Court (ICC) for George Bush, Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Tony Blair, George Brown, John Howard, Kevin Rudd, Stephen Harper, Nicolas Sarkozy, Angela Merkel and their war criminal associates and underlings. Harrowing report of massacre in Afghanistan by US bombers

On May 4 the US bombed the village of Granai in Farah province, Afghanistan, killing 140 civilians according to the Afghanistan government, including approximately 90 children.

It was the single largest loss of life caused by US/NATO forces since the 2001 invasion.

President Hamid Karzai denounced the air strikes as "unjustifiable and unacceptable," hundreds of people demonstrated in Kabul and in Farah city there was a riot outside the governor's office and traders closed their shops in protest.

The US military initially claimed the civilians had been killed by grenades hurled by Taliban fighters. These assertions were shown to be false by eyewitness accounts and were quickly withdrawn.

American soldier: "I killed innocent people"

This American soldier is speaking out against the brutality and horror of the occupation of Iraq. But we know that the war-crimes being committed daily by USUK forces in Afghanistan are of a similar nature. We need more of these courageous individuals to speak out against the atrocities being committed under the guise of a phoney War on Terror. A war, actually, of terror being committed by the USUK.

The Blair War Crimes Foundation

So at last we have a Blair War Crimes Foundation, something I was pleased no end to hear about. Many moons ago, in cooperation with Chris Coverdale from Make Wars History, I lodged an official complaint of war crimes against Blair and Co with the police. The complaint, I was told later, was forwarded to the Counter Terrorism Command at Scotland Yard. Suffice to say I have heard nothing about it since.

Our rulers, who while sanctimoniously preaching to us about the Rule of Law, are continually busy in undermining and breaking same may feel they are safe enough to ignore us as individuals will nevertheless remain insecure in the knowledge of their crimes catching up with them.

"Blair ... and his collaborators face a new determination on the part of tenacious non-government bodies that are amassing “an impressive documentary record as to criminal charges”, according to the international law authority Richard Falk. He cites the World Tribunal on Iraq, held in Istanbul in 2005, which heard evidence from 54 witnesses and published rigorous indictments against Blair, Bush and others."

"At present, the Brussels War Crimes Tribunal and the newly established Blair War Crimes Foundation are building a case for the former prime minister’s prosecution under the Nuremberg Principle and the 1949 Geneva Convention."

"In a separate indictment, a former judge of the New Zealand Supreme Court, E W Thomas, wrote: “My predisposition was to believe that Mr Blair was deluded, but sincere in his belief. After considerable reading and much reflection, however, my final conclusion is that Mr Blair deliberately and repeatedly misled cabinet, the British Labour Party and the people in a number of respects. It is not possible to hold that he was simply deluded but sincere: a victim of his own self-deception. His deception was deliberate.”

Our Eck or how Nationalists are leading Scotland into the New World Order

While an increasing number of people, particularly in the USA, now question the official conspiracy story fed us by the war criminal regimes on both sides of the Atlantic the much greater conspiracy amongst western capitalist nations to create a New World Order dictatorship across the Planet proceeds apace.

And while the old imperialist union of what is jokingly called the United Kingdom creaks at the seams and continues to crumble it behoves us in little Scotland to consider how the 'maximum leader' of our current nationalist government, Alex Salmond, not only reflects the interests of the New World Order but is actively participating in helping to exacerbate the conditions of anarchy brought about by the NWO through imperialist wars where both international and national laws against war crimes are ignored and undermined.

Alex Salmond is not only Scotland's First Minister but he also happens to be my Member of Parliament at Westminster, drawing a double salary as both a Member of the Scottish Parliament and a Westminster MP. When Salmond was elected into Scotland's Holyrood Parliament I assumed, as probably did others, that he would resign his Westminster seat and that a by-election would be called. That was clearly a naive assumption on my part. Nothing of the sort happened.

Yet nobody in Scotland is complaining. Nobody seems to care. And there lies the problem. Not only has the Scottish National Party obtained its position of power by default --through a wholesale disaffection of the electorate with Brown's Nu Labor-- it increasingly looks like Scottish nationalism has given way to a crude form of personality cult clumsily described as Salmondism. In a Parliament of numpties it appears that Our Eck --as Ian Bell of the Glasgow Herald refers to him-- can do no wrong while he goes busily about grinding all political opposition into dust. Well, it was never much of an opposition anyway, but Our Eck must be given the kudos for guile and outfoxing. He really has run circles around the Parcel of Thieves who today still insist that Scotland should remain in a corrupt and decadent union-turned-banana republic now run jointly by Brussels and Washington, DC.

Only this. While it is one thing --and even to be admired-- to see him outmanoeuvre the unionists it is quite another to see how he continually pulls the wool over the eyes of his fellow Scots. And that he most certainly does. Here is just one example of how Our Eck, while saying one thing actually does the very opposite: both he and the SNP leadership are very noisy in their condemnation of the Blair Government for having taken Britain into an illegal war in Iraq. They however, it should be noted, are quite happy to accept the cosmetic pretence of a similar war in Afghanistan, claiming that this was legally sanctioned by the United Nations.

Which leads me to conclude that he and the SNP must be ignorant about international law. Neither the United Nations or its Security Council have any authority to declare war against another nation. Economic sanctions yes, war no.

So we begin to see how the SNP policy about Iraq and Afghanistan is nothing more than ill-constructed posturing. While they court the popular vote which disapproves of the former they really have no interest in what is little more than a secret war in central Asia about which the average Scot has little to say. But dig a little deeper into the politics of Salmondism and it gets far murkier. For here is a man who appears to have little time for either international or national law, who appears happy to overturn the very laws that he and his cronies in Westminster have made.

Recently, I wrote to Our Eck as one of his constituents asking for his approval of my intention, as a supporter of the Make Wars History campaign, to make a complaint to my local constabulary of the various acts of war criminality committed by Messrs Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and others as outlined by the International Criminal Court Act (Scotland) of 2001. What followed was a series of correspondence in which Salmond dodged and ducked and dived out of either addressing the legal issue or giving it the slightest commitment. No, he wasn't prepared to support what he called "a campaign against Tony Blair" which would result "in hours of wasted police time" and a single-issue campaign which a political party couldn't support.

All this is nonsense, of course. Make Wars History is not a campaign against any one politician. Rather it is a popular campaign to ensure that the existing laws against wars and war criminality are upheld by nations and societies that claim to respect the Rule of Law. It seems that an inveterate politico like Salmond is simply unable to understand that. Which bodes ill for a Scotland ruled by one who has no interest in the Rule of Law. Nor would such a campaign lead to a waste of police time since multiple complaints to a given constabulary would merely be collated together. And why shouldn't a political party that huffs and puffs so publicly about illegal wars then not be expected to support a campaign aimed precisely at prosecuting the warmongers?

"You can't seriously expect the man to support this," you might say. "It would be political suicide for him or indeed something even worse of the like of what happened to Robin Cooke." True enough, it could be a very dangerous thing for a politician in a US satellite colony to bite the hand that feeds him in Washington, DC or indeed at the Westminster club where there is an unwritten rule that whilst one can posture and expel hot air it really isn't the done thing to point to other rogues and accuse them of criminality. So, all in all, while politicians may talk about war crimes they can't be expected to support legal action against such.

Which is tough on us as it is on politicians. Because by not doing so they not only undermine the very legislation for which they were responsible, in this case the ICC Act of 2001, but they end up being renegades no different to a Hitler, Mussolini or George Bush against the Rule of Law. Worse actually. They become complicit in the war crimes they will not resist. And so do we all.

Pretty heavy stuff, eh? You can see why Our Eck would take every form of evasive action available. Never mind about complicity. After all, nobody is really going to notice what a lone, eccentric constituent or a minor blogger is going to say. But that's the sad thing about the world of political images, smoke and mirrors in which Our Eck lives. There was a way in which he could have fulfilled his role as an MP while still playing the game of political expediency. He could have done what certain other MSPs have done by just quietly making it known that he would be only too happy to support a constituent's complaint to the police by ensuring that it was taken seriously and followed through. But he didn't.

Now, you could put this down to either ineptitude or to expediency. But as we can see the latter could have been easily served without his having to dig himself into a hole. So that leaves us with the question, while leaving aside all expectations of integrity or morality which in any case one should never expect from a creature so low and of disrepute as a politician, is Scotland's maximum leader really quite so bright as we are led to think he is that it has taken this to show that our would-be Emperor is devoid of the slightest moral vestige of clothing?

Rumsfeld flees France, fearing arrest
International News

IPS News, October 30, 2007 --Former U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld fled France today fearing arrest over charges of "ordering and authorizing" torture of detainees at both the American-run Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq and the U.S. military's detainment facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, unconfirmed reports coming from Paris suggest.
U.S. embassy officials whisked Rumsfeld away yesterday from a breakfast meeting in Paris organized by the Foreign Policy magazine after human rights groups filed a criminal complaint against the man who spearheaded President George W. Bush's "war on terror" for six years.

Under international law, authorities in France are obliged to open an investigation when a complaint is made while the alleged torturer is on French soil.

According to activists in France, who greeted Rumsfeld, shouting "murderer" and "war criminal" at the breakfast meeting venue, U.S. embassy officials remained tight-lipped about the former defense secretary's whereabouts citing "security reasons".

Anti-torture protesters in France believe that the defense secretary fled over the open border to Germany, where a war crimes case against Rumsfeld was dismissed by a federal court. But activists point out that under the Schengen agreement that ended border checkpoints across a large part of the European Union, French law enforcement agents are allowed to cross the border into Germany in pursuit of a fleeing fugitive.

"Rumsfeld must be feeling how Saddam Hussein felt when U.S. forces were hunting him down," activist Tanguy Richard said. "He may never end up being hanged like his old friend, but he must learn that in the civilized world, war crime doesn't pay."

International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) along with the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR), the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR), and the French League for Human Rights (LDH) filed the complaint on Thursday after learning that Rumsfeld was scheduled to visit Paris.

BBC: Big Brother Cooperation

It's a matter of alarm and concern that there are so many people out there who still believe that the BBC is a balanced and fair-minded source of news and current affairs. That belief was, at best ill-founded and at worst, typical of the hypocrisy of a British self-image of decency and fair-mindedness which, through that peculiarly British imperialist institution, the public school, gave succeeding generations the ideological veneer and justification for an unabashed and rapacious colonialism.

So successful were Britain's ruling classes in persuading themselves of their manifest destiny to rule --an ideology which gained serious promotion through Rudyard Kipling's obnoxious caricature of the ruled as being the White Man's burden-- that both Britain's rulers and their ruled came to believe in their own Victorian spin.

It was out of that national hypocrisy that the BBC was born in the twilight decades of Britain's decayed raj when, despite the harsh face of colonialism, a Scottish Presbyterian, Lord Reith, was canny enough to disguise the BBC's real purpose of control through the instilling of elitist values by giving it the motto, "Let Nation Speak Peace Unto Nation"!

Today, in the post-Blair vassal state of a United Kingdom itself in collapse, Reith's motto has become nothing more than an embarrassment for a corporation that is increasingly recognized as being little more than an exclusive conduit for state propaganda. The greater majority of BBC personnel may, as reports suggest, like to consider themselves to be liberal-minded nice guys but the message that Aunty puts out to the world is one of totalitarianism and brazen warmongering.

Its present, wholly one-sided, coverage of the war crime that was the invasion of Iraq and the imperialist occupation of that country and Afghanistan is just a case in point. Another is its calculated avoidance of any mention of the stolen US elections of 2000 and 2004 where the people of the United States were, in effect, hijacked by a group of robber politicians and a corrupt judiciary. Another is its continued promotion of the official Bush-instigated conspiracy theory of 911 and its silence over the extremely suspicious events surrounding that other probable conspiracy, the London bombings of 7 July 2005.

One could keep on with a long list of the BBC's embedded reportage of events emanating as straight spin from the state's sources, both in London and Washington. Keeping out any real, critical political analysis and barring its airwaves to anyone other than the apologists of the British state and its Washington boss, it stubbornly insists on promoting Neocon ideologues such as the unhinged John Bolton who is constantly given BBC airtime long after having been discredited and fired from office.

BBC's 'Bonkers' Bolton

All that is bad enough but the role that the BBC is playing is much worse and far more deceptive than that.

Using anodyne language, innuendo and subtle suggestion, the BBC inverts the reality of affairs by creating an alternative reality and reporting on that instead as the authentic world.

The British media are masters in the art of deceit, they don't distort reality so much as manufacture another version, casually dismissing the truth as an unrepresentative oddity.

Outright deception, delivered in a regular voice and pleasing prose, even and chirpy of tone, triumphs, as honesty is crowded out by the brilliant ruse that presents telling the truth not as the presence of honesty, but the absence of etiquette ..

Kola, Medialens, 28 October 2007

BBC News 24 is the corporation's flagship, satellite broadcaster of news and current affairs, hence given a razzle-dazzle imagery of up-to-date, global news reportage accompanied with the sound of an urgent, authoritative yet vibrant, drumming rhythm heard in every airport departure lounge and hometown settlement across the planet.

But, together with the rest of the corrupt BBC, News 24 is feeding you and me, twenty four seven three sixty-five, what is little more than a carefully packaged, unmitigated lie.

A case in point was News 24's recently broadcast programme in its Our World series, "Do they know who we are?" ostensibly a piece on the rapid growth of electronic surveillance technology but hidden beneath the packaging actually its promotion as something desirable that the majority of people want.

The attention span of the average viewer is no more than a few, brief seconds so the message has got to be put across in the first moments. It is then reinforced over and over with a few variations included such as an opposing view or argument which is then immediately demolished.

So this piece of surveillance promotion starts with a cheerfully upbeat version of the Harry Lime Theme from the Third Man, zither and all. This sets the mood for a positive reaction from the audience. If a negative reaction were required, the music would be appropriately anxious, even disturbing.

Almost immediately a message flashes across the screen: "75% want more security." After some impressive clips showing Silicon Valley scientists predicting the inevitability of increasingly hi-tech surveillance technology we are introduced to the 'product', in this case a Gameboy-like hand-held sensor which can detect the presence of terrorists hiding inside a building whose architecture is predictably Muslim. Even their breathing, we are told, can be sensed through walls by this wonder gadget.

Then, rather cleverly, the reporter takes us to a Muslim community in Forest Gate, London and we are reminded how the police had conducted a heavy-handed raid on "suspect terrorists" last year, leaving one man shot and wounded. If the police had been able to use these sensors, the reporter suggests, perhaps all that would have been avoidable. Makes you think doesn't it?

We are shown a group of Muslims being introduced to this technology by the reporter who, in an apparent concession to his audience, point out that there had been some immediate complaints about the imagery in the promotional video showing Muslim architecture. "But as soon as the audience were shown the technology being used in Iraq they accepted it," he claims.

He picks on a young member of the audience who says, "We don't need to worry. Anyone can watch us." And then another older man who agrees that this kind of sensor could be used for "legitimate intelligence." Thus, using recorded soundbites in a highly selective way, we see how a Muslim audience is persuaded that these highly intrusive sensors can be used in situations of war or surveillance, either against the enemy or an innocent public who should have nothing to worry about from 'legitimate intelligence'!

Strange, is it not, that a Muslim audience could be persuaded of its use in the Iraq war? You would have expected a massive, negative reaction. But no. Instead, capitalising on guilt feelings among Muslims, they are sold the product as justifiable under wartime conditions. Once this breakthrough is achieved, the audience has been softened-up enough to accept its use by police or 'legitimate intelligence' (whatever that may be!) against a public that should not worry if it has nothing to hide!

This last is regularly used by the promoters of increased surveillance technology and totalitarianization. If you've nothing to hide, why worry? Using an individual's anxiety (ie that he might have something to hide from 'the Law') and the principle of the Big Lie we are bullied into accepting further encroachments on our right to privacy.

The Big Lie is based upon the idea that most everyone tells little lies from time to time. Little lies and dishonesties are, therefore, understandable and acceptable. It's what we all do. But Big Lies, on the other hand, are neither comprehensible or acceptable. So, when subject to a Big Lie, part of us --the part which governs our 'little me', personal values-- shuts down, unable to deal with the enormity of it. But another part keeps running and is forced to come to terms with the unacceptable, to accept that as the message comes to us from a source of authority then it must, has to be, true.

This process is sometimes described by the mind manupilaters in blatant fashion as 'thinking the unthinkable', 'pushing the envelope', or put in another way which remains unsaid, of being coerced into accepting the unacceptable.

This process is called Cognitive Dissonance, the process used here to extract the appropriate soundbites from an audience made to feel guilty about the 'war on terrorism.' Well, that's ok then, we are led to think. If a Muslim audience can accept this new technology (for they do have a problem with terrorism, don't they?) then it should be perfectly acceptable to us. Again, the projection of our guilt (but we do have things in our life we prefer to keep hidden!) onto Muslims (who we know are susceptible to becoming terrorists).

The key-phrase to sum up this event was obtained from a man in his (responsible) 'thirties who agrees that such intrusive technology would be fine when used by "legitimate intelligence," meaning government authorities. Again, the phrase begs so many questions as to what is and isn't legitimate but we aren't given time to dwell on that.

Instead, we are taken to the final, reinforcing summation: there are already 4 million CCTV cameras in Britain so is our private life safe? We are then told (sources not revealed) that 75% want more surveillance and this 'fact' is borne out by an 'expert' from the US National Security Agency, a body with a suitably authoritative name (how many people would know that the NSC is a US government spy agency?)

The promotion is ended with the same upbeat introductory theme.

Neat one, eh? Being of a mischievous, cynical nature I was left wondering if the BBC got a nice little hidden backhander from some Silicon Valley manufacturer for having given airtime to this promotional piece? With government cutbacks on BBC revenue it is increasingly having to privatize and commercialize its operations. So, while doing what the government tells it to do, in this case to promote the totalitarianization of Britain, why not make a few dollars on the side?

And, I couldn't help keep thinking of those Muslims in Forest Gate, my febrile imagination hearing their repeated cries of indignation against the way so many of the audience had left that meeting, feeling that they had been utterly conned into unwittingly cooperating with a foxy Big Brother BBC.

Iraq whistleblower Dr Kelly WAS murdered to silence him, says MP
Daily Mail

"Weapons expert Dr David Kelly was assassinated, an MP claims today.

Campaigning politician Norman Baker believes Dr Kelly, who exposed the Government's "sexed-up" Iraq dossier, was killed to stop him making further revelations about the lies that took Britain to war.

He says the murderers may have been anti-Saddam Iraqis, and suggests the crime was covered up by elements within the British establishment to prevent a diplomatic crisis."

Unusual this, coming from the newspaper that supported Hitler and the fascists in the 1930's.

Ah, but hold on. This article stinks of disinformation.

Why should anti-Saddam Iraqis want to murder a whistle-blower?

Pro bono? Oh no-no.

Cui Bono!

Editors of the fascist Mail, it was that well-known war criminal, Tony Blair, who had the strongest motivation to do Dr Kelly in.

If "anti-Saddam Iraqis" did the dirty work that's one thing. But why not go to the heart of the conspiracy?

If you dare?

Günter Grass

War Crimes, USUK Hypocrisy & Collective Responsibility

On BBC Radio 4, I have been listening to an abridged version of Peeling the Onion, an autobiography by the German writer, Günter Grass.

Grass, famous for his satirical writings on Nazi Germany, will be remembered for his major works, The Tin Drum and Dog Years. When Peeling the Onion was published last year in Germany there was a lot of kerfuffle among literary circles about Grass having served, as a teenager, in the Waffen SS which was later condemned collectively for war crimes.

In his books, Grass spends a lot of time examining the case for the German population's joint responsibility for war crimes as well as his own. He also reminds us how the newly-formed German Federal Republic was prepared to accept the Allies' decision to reinstate many Nazis to positions of power and, in an index in Dog Years, lists companies like I.G.Farben which played an active role in the Nazi economy.

The Germans have anguished for over half a century over their collective responsibility for giving Hitler power. Even today it remains a sensitive issue.

But, in the light of more recent war crimes committed by the USA and Britain in countries like Iraq and Afghanistan I am forced to the conclusion that it is inevitably the victors in war who not only write the history books but who make and execute judicial judgements. As witness they did, through their Iraqi puppets, with Saddam Hussein.

If Germany had won the war it would have been the likes of Churchill who would have been deemed war criminals and led to the hangman's noose. It lost and paid the price. So did Iraq, though the comparison between a massively strong Third Reich and a weak, defenceless Iraq facing the combined imperial might of the USUK must end there.

We can now see the farce in how war crimes are judged. It was right and proper for Nazi war criminals to have faced trial. But the whole exercise deteriorated into a cosmetic when later we discovered just how many Nazi war criminals were, because it was convenient, reinstated by the Allies. And if that shameful business didn't underscore the manifest dishonesty of the judging of war criminality then Iraq most certainly has.

Apart from a few, unreported independent hearings, such as the Istanbul and Brussels Tribunals, no one in the Western establishment has dared to point to the war criminals who lied to and dragged their countries into war against a defenceless Iraq. Although there are plenty of them around, not one journalist has had the courage to admit to his or her collective responsibility in that war crime.

Aware of the blood on its hands, the BBC has done everything it can to hush-up its own responsibility and to not report on these embarrassing independent tribunals.

In for a penny, in for a pound, says the BBC, not only ignoring its criminality but going the whole way, steeping itself in even more guilt by enthusiastically joining in the fake "War on Terror", the hollow rationale of mediocre politicians like Bush and Blair which enshrouds the USUK's responsibility for more than a million unnecessary deaths in the Middle East.

By doing so, the war criminal politicians and their servile media have pushed themselves into a corner with no way out. All the war criminals like gutter journalists Melanie Phillips, Richard Littlejohn and Christopher Hitchens can do now is to bang the war drums even harder every chance they get, hoping that the noise will distract us from their murderous nature.

And then there is the collective responsibility that each of us in the USUK must bear. Yes, right from the start, some of us marched against our criminal rulers and proclaimed, "Not in Our Name!" We were dragged into this war crime. Well, those of us who protested were. But what about the much greater majority who stayed silent and who, with us all, have allowed the war criminals to stay in power?

Ah, but you can't compare us to the Germans who didn't stop Hitler!

Didn't they, can't we?

What about all the German socialists and democrats who literally fought in the streets against Hitler's Brownshirts before being finally rounded up, murdered or committed to a slow death in concentration camps? And the German anti-war groups, however small, who continued to ridicule and condemn Hitler long after their fate was sealed?

Neither the USA or Britain ever experienced the horrors of a poverty-stricken, plague ridden Weimar Germany, bled to death by the vengeful allies of WWI, prior to the ascendancy of a strongman dictator.

No. Singularly preoccupied at the trough with its ongoing consumer binge, both the populations of the USA and Britain simply turned their backs on an unpleasant reality and allowed their war criminals the freedom to do whatever the hell they liked. Selfishness and greed came first and our collective responsibility for genocide was conveniently swept under the carpet.

Yet, the ultimate crime has been committed! And just as we judged post-war Germany guilty, we in the USUK are, in the eyes of truth and by our own erstwhile standards, collective war criminals now!

I have always admired Günter Grass for being prepared to
examine both his and Germany's collective soul for the truth. So it is a small return that I perform here to emulate his example. It is time, now, for the Günter Grass' of the USA and Britain to begin to speak the truth about our own collective criminality.

Blair as Mideast Envoy: Putting the Fox inside the Chicken Coop

Apparently the mediocre Peter Sissons of the UK's lying, sensationalist mainstream media (MSM) is taking seriously Bush's suggestion that Blair should become a Mideast envoy!

No mention of Blair's war crimes in that part of the world. Of course not. That's taboo and more than Sissons' job is worth who, like his baggy-eyed colleague on Channel 4, Jon Snow, will now be looking forward to retirement and being put out to pasture.

Yet the suggestion, no matter how fatuous, has been made and we of the disloyal opposition are obliged to address it. So let me refer you to a recent article, Reasons why Tony Blair will be a Bad Mideast Envoy, by Mr Jalil Bahar, a former Iranian diplomat.

The Brits screwed the whole thing up and have a bad reputation, they have systematically leveraged US assets and power, their idea is basically to get the US to spend the blood and treasure to further British interests, there will be lies, lies and more lies from the Brits, they have just polarized the whole Islamic world again by mischievously giving Salman Rushdie a knighthood, recommending Blair for this role is just plain dumb.

Of course it's dumb, no question of that. After all the havoc and destruction caused in Afghanistan and Iraq and with around a million dead, to put Blair in again is to put the fox in the chicken coop. And yet you can see why Bush is so attracted to the idea.

For Blair is more than Bush's toady, he has all along been an enthusiastic warmonger, keen to spill the blood of Her Satanic Majesty's subjects in the name of the Anglo-Saxon empire, even when (according to Condi Rice) he was told that it would not be necessary.

No, Mr Sissons, the only place that Tony Blair should be going to is the Hague for trial and from there to a place of lifelong penal servitude. As you appear to be such an enthusiastic promoter of Blair's war crimes perhaps you should join him with the rest of the whoring MSM.

How Could Blair Possibly Get This Job?

Blair could face Trial for War Crimes

LONDON, June 12--TONY BLAIR could face prosecution for war crimes in Iraq following a legal bid launched yesterday.

Former SNP MP Jim Sillars has handed a 10,000-word dossier to Lord Advocate Eilish Angiolini urging her to charge the PM under Scots law.

He claims Blair should be held to account for conspiring to overthrow Saddam Hussein's regime and for starting the war in Iraq.

Both are illegal under international law. An attempt to have Blair hauled before a criminal court in England failed after lawyers said it wasn't the place to deal with international law.

But Sillars claims Scottish courts have the power to try Blair for war crimes if they believe an established offence, such as murder, has been committed in the process.

Sillars said: "There can be no prosecution at the international criminal court because it doesn't have jurisdiction."

"There is no chance of a special court being established by the United Nations because Britain and the United States have the veto at the Security Council. There is no chance of a prosecution in England and Wales."

"But of course Scots law is an entirely different entity, an entirely different jurisdiction with different rules, procedures and instruments available to it."

Sillars said he had been told by legal experts that the Prime Minister has a case to answer.

And he warned: "The Lord Advocate would have to give a very good explanation why, with the evidence presented, she didn't instigate an investigation -- because we have jurisdiction."

Sillars spent six months putting together his complaint, which was lodged last Friday.

In a letter to the Lord Advocate, he said: "I am requesting you to investigate this complaint and prosecute in a Scottish court."

"Although I have a political past, this complaint is based on legal principles and case law, and I shall be obliged if you will examine it in that light and in that light alone."

Sillars, who was assistant secretary general with the Arab/British Chamber of Commerce for 14 years, said Britain and the US are constantly harangued as hypocrites throughout the Arab world.

He explained: "We preach the rule of law. We preach accountability inherent in democracy."

"But when it comes to applying international law, we seem to find it politically inconvenient to pursue the law as it should be pursued."

"The war on terror won't be won by bombs, bullets, aeroplanes and rockets - it will be won by winning the argument at an intellectual, moral level."

Sillars' complaint was launched at the same time as the latest move by the Tories at Westminster to get a new inquiry in the Iraq war -- but they will not join forces as Sillars is seeking a criminal conviction.

A Crown Office spokesman said: "We confirm receipt of correspondence from Jim Sillars. A response will be issued in due course."

Holocaust, terrorism and violence: a Muslim View
by Abid Ullah Jan
edited version

The following article is compiled from various texts and books written by this author over the past 10 years voicing a consistent message.

Mine is part of the struggle to save Muslims from becoming the victims of a 21st Century Holocaust they are so obviously inching towards, becoming the 21st century Jews in terms of treatment the Jews received in Nazi Germany.

My Views as a Muslim about Holocaust

What is chilling is knowing now how many tens of millions of human beings lost their lives because of Hitler and Mussolini in an almost musical-comedy performance. Shallow stuff can have deep consequences.
See: The Tyranny of Our Democracy, August 1998.

The conclusion of the matter is laid at the feet of the people. The "Master Race" movie exploited duplicity knowing the ignorance of the German people in regards to Hitler and his purposes for world control and the annihilation of certain populations. The modern propaganda machine of the West mentions nothing of its own wilful ignorance.
See: The Rise of the Fourth Reich, The Frontier Post, Nov 09, 1999, last paragraph.

"Non-Muslims too have started feeling the heat: particularly those with an experience of the earlier holocaust. The first willing drop of the rain of exodus happen to be a Jew — a holocaust survivor, who smelled the coming holocaust in the US."
See: The Coming Exodus and the End of Nation States, May 28 2005.

Pakistanis forget that Musharraf alone is not the problem because he alone is not the nation. So was not Hitler. He alone could not kill millions of Jews in death camps or invade country after country for planting false evidence, overpowering their populations with a combination of vicious air strikes and crushing armoured superiority and then installing corrupt or cruel puppet leaders.
Pak-Gulag under the wings of the Fourth Reich, Sep 05, 2004, 7th paragraph.

To address the concerns of some overly optimistic critics, I started collecting evidence on the same page of the web site. Gradually, I am running out of space because news of the way Muslims are discriminated and harassed are increasing with each passing day. Even greater is the realization that the 20th century Jews were very fortunate. They were facing the wrath of Hitler in Germany alone. Muslims in the 21st century are facing multiple problems on a global scale.
Muslims! You ain't seen nothin' yet, March 06, 2006, 8th paragraph.

For pogroms or all that happened in Germany in the 1930s to happen again needs a mindset which the Islamophobes have already prepared to a great extent. The benighted progressives are simply consolidating it to the extent where another holocaust event would not produce any reaction in sympathy of the untouchables from the wider community.
Paving the way for Muslim holocaust, March 23, 2005, 17th last paragraph.

Like the Germans under Hitler, every person on earth must be warned that a dangerous, implacable, invisible, omnipresent and invulnerable enemy threatens their peace. Unlike Hitler, Bush goes global, pleading with public for an expansion of his power to interfere in internal affairs of other states and personal freedoms of every individual.
Bush's Nazi ambitions, Nation, Pakistan, August 22, 2002 , 2nd last paragraph.

Placards saying, “Jews not admitted” and “Jews enter this place at their own risk” began to appear all over civilized Germany in less than five years from their wholesale persecution. In some parts of the country, Jews were banned from public parks, swimming pools, and public transportation. Evidence suggests that history is on the way to repeating itself—this time for Muslims.

Jews were lucky in the sense that they faced Holocaust mainly in Germany and in occupied Europe at the hands of Nazis. Imagine Muslims for whom the whole West might turn into a Nazi bloc!

For Muslims the situation is going from bad to worse. The Jewish Holocaust is a clear example of “civilized” Europe’s previous and unexpected brutality. Differences between Jews and other European citizens were manufactured and used as pretexts to justify crimes against Jews. Jews were accused of “taking over” the world, just as Muslims are accused of planning to take over America and erecting an Islamic empire.

It was not only Hitler who engineered the Holocaust. Anti-Semitism (anti-Jewish and anti-Arabic hatred) was widespread in Christian Europe for centuries prior to Nazi Germany. However, modern anti-Semitism was initiated in 1879 by William Marr, the German who founded the “League for Anti-Semitism.” Marr’s racist views (Europe’s biological racism) were that Jews constituted a distinct racial group that was both physically and morally inferior, and therefore, must be exterminated. The justifications for possible internment of Muslims in the United States today are similar to Marr’s racist views in that they serve to develop a mindset in favor of a holocaust. With the rise of European racism against minorities in the nineteenth century, European Jews were targeted as Muslims are targeted today.

Adolf Hitler’s election on January 30, 1930, was based on his ideology of “one people [‘master race’ or Uebermenschen], one empire, and one leader.” Hitler’s election paved the way for one of the greatest criminal acts in human history, for which the groundwork was laid over a long period of time.

Jews, Gypsies, Czechs, Poles, the mentally and physically handicapped, homosexuals, and others not belonging to the “master race” were targeted for extermination. Jews were specifically targeted. Bombings of synagogues, blasphemous cartoons depicting Jews, and anti-Jewish posters were widespread all over Europe.
21st Century Jews, from Abid Ullah Jan's book, After Fascism, and article January 7, 2004, 4th paragraph.

Like earlier papal bulls, such words from Pope Benedict carry the potential for a new holocaust.
To Hell With Muslim Terrorism, August 24, 2005, Last line 5th paragraph.

Muslims are gradually turning into 21st century Jews.
"Muslims in Russia are not much different from others", Second question, paragraph 4.

The sole offense for which Julius Streicher was ordered put to death was having served as publisher and editor of Der Sturmer in the early 1930s, years before the Nazis actually carried out the genocide. In this capacity he was accused of penning a long series of virulently anti-Jewish editorials and "news" stories, usually accompanied by cartoons and other images graphically depicting Jews in extraordinarily derogatory fashion.

These write ups, the prosecution asserted, had done much to "dehumanize" the Jews in the minds of the German public. In turn, such dehumanization had made it possible - or at least easier - for average Germans to later indulge in the outright liquidation of the Jews.
Countering the Julius Streichers of our age, July 31, 2005, 2nd paragraph.

Undoubtedly, Jews suffered genocide at the hands of Hitler. Irrespective of anyone’s denial or acceptance, holocaust did take place.
Israel! Get in Line, Please, August1, 2005, 4th paragraph.

Fascist Nazi history need not be dwelt on further here. It led to the horrors and destruction of World War II and the Holocaust.
Democratic Fascism, May 04th, 2005, Media Monitors, Paragraph 9.

Neither does the history of fascism need to be dwelt on further here. The ideology of the corporate state led to the horrors and destruction of World War II and the Holocaust.
Fascism in context - III, June 2006, Paragraph 18.

What [Islamophobes] need is a total solution — annihilation of a people. If Hitler could not succeed in this kind of struggle, no one will.
In America: The Enemies Within (Part - III), Pakistan Times 2004, 2nd last para

We need to be more concerned with those who have failed to recognize the true nature of the part the German people played in the implementation of Hitler’s plans.
Wake up America, 2nd paragraph.

At each phase of its development, the major thrust of Nazi policy was to employ the maximum feasible eliminationist options possible given the existing opportunity and constraints. And Hitler very clearly opted for extermination at the first moment that the policy became practical. Wake up America, 5th paragraph.

My Views as a Muslim about Terrorism and Violence

In a few words, neither is Jihad terrorism, nor are the World Trade Centre kind of attacks Jihad.
Demystifying Jihad, May 18, 2004, Page 14, top highlighted text

“The religious leadership failed to realize that using Islam for votes will only intensify sectarian feuds, for each religious party is forced to make its own version of Islam different from that of its rivals.

The biggest misfortune to have befallen modern Islamic movements is that, faced with defeat or suppression in electoral process, they adopted the path of violence. The use of guerrilla warfare and other forms of violence by Islamic revivalists which has proved counterproductive constitutes a major blunder in methodology on their part.

Because of the above-mentioned two deviations from the methodology of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), 7 modern Islamic revivalism has so far failed to reach its goal. As a result, a genuine Islamic system has not taken root anywhere in today’s Muslim world so far.”
(End of Democracy, 2003, Conclusion: Page 218).

As claimed by 'moderates,' we have yet to hear from any 'extremist' Muslim that military “Jihad is the first option and Ijthihad is not an option at all.”32 The difference is in how we define 'militants.' The problem is not that other Muslims do not reject indiscriminate violence to achieve political ends; it is that they should reject it both from Muslims as well as from the warmongers sitting in Western capitals. Whereas the extremists in Bush and Blair administrations and pseudo-intellectuals, such as Daniel Pipes, expect all 'moderate' Muslims to do only one job: to criticize such elements among Muslims but support and justify US aggression throughout the world, e.g. Far East Asia, South and Central America, Middle East, etc.

The reality is that there are very specific and clear principles for engaging in war for Muslims. A study of these Islamic principles shows that there is no place for the kind of jingoistic policy and murderous acts.
(End of Democracy, 2003, Page 229).

Avoiding violence and bloodshed is the basic principle of the Islamic faith and every Muslim is required to stand firm against repression, violence and terrorism as an Islamic obligation. In practical terms, more Muslims die from terrorist attacks than any other group and unnecessary violence will never lead to the establishment of an Islamic State.
(End of Democracy, Page 232).

Those who perpetrate violence in the name of Islam distort and abuse the texts in the name of their cause. At the same time, we must not forget that the texts themselves have nothing to do with the ongoing chain of violence and therefore, are not to be blamed and should not be the subject of scrutiny by anyone who qualifies himself as a “moderate.”
(End of Democracy, page 232 and 233).

Despite Muslims’ unanimous opposition to terrorism, religious intolerance and the oppression of women, these remain the most prevalent images of the Muslim faith throughout the Western world. Such popular misconceptions about Islam and Islamic movements have made it particularly difficult to challenge the US and its allies’ unjust policies.
(End of Democracy, page 243).

The proposed international 'truth and reconciliation' commissions need to be independent and without any power, with anyone, to veto the truth. There are too many good Muslims and good Americans, that would hate to see an escalation of war between people who should be best partners in peace, except for the acts of a few terrorists, dishonest leaders and broken promises on all sides. Unfortunately, any future acts of terrorism against the people of the United States or the continued unequal treatment, occupation, repression and killing of Muslims around the world will not lead to a greater understanding of the problem or justice for people who do have genuine grievances. The US cannot make the world a better place by cutting down all the laws while crusading against the devil in others. All of us need to honestly face the mirror, no matter how hard it may be and how long it may take.
(War on Islam, Conclusion: page 252).

Here we must keep in mind that the Qur’anic injunctions about Jihad do not mean that Muslims are to drop everything and needlessly engage in fighting with non-Muslims.
(Demystifying Jihad, May 18, 2004, Page 7, column 2, paragraph 3).

There are some conditions for the legality of Jihad. Amongst them, for example, are the following: the other side intends to attack Muslims; it creates a barrier against the call of Islam, meaning that it negates the freedom to make that call.
(Demystifying Jihad, May 18, 2004,Page 8, Column 1, second paragraph).

A full understanding of the requirements of a Muslim leads us to the conclusion that Jihad is not a vague, detached or isolated concept of needless war and violence.

Islam does not give permission to go to war based on conjecture, vengeance, lies and deception as we witness in the present day world. Nor is war, killings and victory on earth the ultimate objectives.

(Demystifying Jihad, May 18, 2004, Page 11, top, highlighted text)

What we have learnt so far is that the Qur’an has fundamentally defined Jihad not as a war of aggression or of superiority or of authority, but of resistance against aggression – for the protection of humanity, not its destruction.
(Demystifying Jihad, May 18, 2004, Page 10, highlighted box on the left).

Permission to fight has been given to those whom others have come to fight. Which means: “OMuslims, now that the polytheist rejecters have come to fight against you, fight them.”In reality this is a state of defense. This permission is given so that the oppressed should defend themselves.
(Demystifying Jihad, May 18, 2004, Page 11, highlighted text on the right.)

Permission to fight has been given to those whom others have come to fight. Which means: “O Muslims, now that the polytheist rejecters have come to fight against you, fight them.” In reality this is a state of defense - a state where believers are made to fight against injustice.
(Demystifying Jihad, May 18, 2004, Page 11, left column, bottom).

What we have learnt so far is that the Qur’an has fundamentally defined Jihad not as a war of aggression or of superiority or of authority, but of resistance against aggression - for the protection of humanity, not its destruction.
(Demystifying Jihad, May 18, 2004, Page 12, left column, first para.)

No one should be obliged to accept the religion of Islam, let alone imposing it on others by force.
(Demystifying Jihad, May 18, 2004, Page 12, left side, highted text).

So Islam does not say that others must be forced into Islam or a way of life should be imposed upon them…Islam says that whoever wants to believe will believe, and whoever does not want to, will not.

There is also this verse: “And if your Rabb willed all the earth would have believed, in total, will you then compel them to be believers.” (10:99) Jihad is, thus, not for forcing non-Muslims into believing Islam or for imposing a way of life on non-Muslims.

Allah told Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):“O Prophet! it is as if you intend to kill yourself because they have not believed as if you want to destroy yourself. Do not be so full of grief for their sakes. We, with Our Power of Creation and Might, if we wanted to force the people to belief we could easily have done so. If we willed it, we could send down from the sky a sign to overshadow their neck, for them to be submissive.” (26:4)
(Demystifying Jihad, May 18, 2004, Page 12, left column).

Leaving this point aside, however, we see that in the basic definition of Jihad, there is no difference of opinion and all the researchers are agreed that Jihad and war must be for the sake of defense. The differences of opinion that do exist are minor ones, and concern the question of what it is that has to be defended.

The sacredness of fighting in defense lies not in defending one’s self, but in defending 'the right.' Defense of the rights of humanity are, thus, holier. For example, freedom is reckoned as one of the sacred values of humanity and not limited to an individual or nation

The Qur’an says, religion cannot be imposed because faith has to enter their hearts. That is what a sword cannot do. To the Bedouin Arabs, who had recently accepted Islam without having perceived the nature of its essence and without Islam having influenced their hearts, who were claiming to have “faith,” the Qur’an gave this reply:

“The Arabs say “we have faith,” tell them: “you do not yet have faith, say “we have accepted Islam” for faith has not yet entered your hearts.” (49:14)

If someone claims that the Qur’an or Sunnah incite violence for imposing Islam, it is absolutely ridiculous because the simple logic mentioned above pales by comparison to the wisdom displayed by the Qur’an and the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
(Demystifying Jihad, May 18, 2004, Page 14, right column).

Furthermore, Islam does not say Muslims must fight to impose Islam, for Tawheed is something that cannot be imposed because it is faith. Faith is built on discernment and choice, and discernment is not influenced by force. The same applies to choice. “La ikraha fid-din” — there is no compulsion in Deen — means Muslims must not compel anyone for faith is not something that can be forced upon someone.
(Demystifying Jihad, May 18, 2004, Page 15, Conlcusion. second last paragraph).

This book is dedicated to all those who are suffering undermodern day fascism, and believe that both Muslims and non-Muslims are equal human beings with equal rights to freedom, liberty and self-rule. It is for those who reject any way of life imposed upon them by force.
(After Fascism, see Dedication of the Book)

What is the next step for Muslims and non-Muslims who are not interested in wars and domination, and who are helpless before the might of the oppressors, but want change nevertheless?

The truth-tellers’ strategy of exposing the facts rightly began by focusing on the atrocities of the United States and its allies over the last century. Now a longer-term approach is needed, one that will serve human interests and human values, and one that will ensure an equal opportunity for all to freely live their own way of life.
(After Fascism, Page 12 para 1)

Where are the Muslim and non-Muslim majority worlds heading? Does the ultimate tragedy of human history await us, or is there some light at the end of the tunnel?
(After Fascism, Page 13, 2nd para).

The good news is that besides those individuals waging wars to impose a convoluted form of democracy on the Muslim world, there are people—mostly non-Muslims—who are struggling as a counter force. They expose the truth that would provide a viable collective solution for bringing the values of liberty and freedom into the structure of the state. This struggle on the part of reformers in the United States and elsewhere is the way of a future, pregnant with the possibility of Muslim success in their struggle for self-determination and self-rule.
(After Fascism, Page 14 firs para).

Besides, both Muslims and non-Muslims struggling against the fascism of our age need to demystify the myths, which have not only pitted Muslims and non-Muslims against each other, but also Muslims against Muslims and vice versa.
(After Fascism, Page 14 last paragraph).

Muslims and non-Muslims struggling for liberty and freedom, nevertheless, can reduce the impact of all these consequences with their struggle for synthesis rather than giving up or joining the fascists’ struggle for supremacy.
(After Fascism, Page 241, paragraph 1).

Muslims and non-Muslims need a mutual understanding to join in a common struggle to avoid unnecessary losses as the totalitarian forces see power and dominance slip out of their hands and go ever more out of control.
(The Ultimate Tragedy, Preface, second paragraph).

"Looking from the side."

It takes an Ozzie mainstream journalist in Britain to have the courage to warn us that Blair is conniving with the Bushistas to drag the West into an even more horrific holocaust in the Middle East: this time in Iran.

"We are being led towards perhaps the most serious crisis in modern history as the Bush-Cheney-Blair 'long war' edges closer to Iran for no reason other than that nation’s independence from rapacious America."

He uses a phrase, "looking from the side", used by a concentration-camp survivor describing how other Germans would stand and look as the victims were marched from cattle-trucks into the Bergen-Belsen camp. The phrase and the context in which Pilger uses it in his recent article, 'Iran May be the Greatest Crisis in Modern Times,' drives home what remains unsaid: we are all now living in a kind of open prison gulag managed by the Bush-Cheney-Blair troika. We are all being dragged into a hell on earth which these three are largely reponsible for having created. We find ourselves disempowered in the hands of these psychotic mass-murderers and their quislings in the mainstream media (MSM)

Perhaps that's how those Germans felt who 'looked from the side' as Hitler's victims were marched to their deaths? Very likely they must have done but the comparison must end there: those Germans lived under a perpetual state-of-terror where no one dared to oppose the Nazis. Only a few individuals like Martin Niemoeller and Dietrich Bonhoeffer and small groups like die Weisse Rose (White Rose), the Edelweisspiraten (Edelweiss Pirates) and the Widerstand (German Resistance Movement) dared to resist Hitler during the darkest times.

To oppose the Nazis meant certain death. Those Wehrmacht generals who failed to assassinate Hitler were tortured and hanged with piano-wire on meathooks while the whole grisly affair was filmed for the Fuehrer's edification and entertainment. Germans lived in conditions of utter terror.

We, in the Anglo-Saxon world, do not. At least, not yet. The wholesale destruction of our freedoms and human rights by the Bushes, the Blairs and the Howards has not spread so far. But you only have to look behind what Pilger calls a 'one-way moral screen' to see how others have been and are already living under conditions of sheer terror brought to them exclusively by the Bush-Cheney-Blair troika: a troika of war criminals hiding in expensive suits, their bodylite armour-proof vests neatly hidden as they swagger about before a compliant MSM.

Who in the media, other than the honourable few like Pilger, would dare to describe this troika as the war criminals they are in the real world? Who in the MSM has questioned Bush's legitimate right to a presidency he stole twice from the American people with a little bit of help from a bent judiciary and fixed electronic voting? Or the fact that Blair was elected to power by no more than 20% of those qualified to vote?

Today, the MSM in both the United States and Britain are guilty of the same silence practised by their erstwhile counterparts in the German press when Hitler set fire to the Reichstag and used his thugs at the ballot-boxes in 1933. Despite the overwhelming evidence that points to 911 having been an inside-job very few in the pan-Atlantic MSM dare say so. Despite Blair's refusal to allow an independent enquiry into the highly dubious circumstances around the 7/7 bombings the MSM stay silent, choosing rather to exercise a racist mindset of putting the blame on 'Muslim terrorists.'

The MSM know full well that the Bush-Cheney-Blair troika are planning to extend their 'endless war' in Iraq and Afghanistan to Iran. They know that its infernal Coalition already encircles Iran militarily and that the Cruise missiles could be fired-off at any moment. They know that when they are launched that some of the targets will be Iran's nuclear reactors which when blown-up will emit huge, radioactive clouds all over the Middle East, paling Chernobyl into insignificance. The MSM know what the blogosphere knows: that the US may decide to 'enhance' their conventional aerial strike by augmenting it with so-called tactical nuclear weapons, each with a yield of anything between one-third to six times that of Hiroshima-Nagasaki.

The pan-Atlantic MSM knows all this. "And yet there is a surreal silence, save for the noise of 'news' in which our powerful broadcasters gesture cryptically at the obvious but dare not make sense of it, lest the one-way moral screen erected between us and the consequences of an imperial foreign policy collapse and the truth be revealed."

Pilger goes onto quote the psychotic, John 'Bonkers' Bolton, who "formerly Bush’s man at the United Nations, recently spelled out the truth: that the Bush-Cheney-Blair plan for the Middle East is 'an agenda to maintain division and ethnic tension'. In other words, bloodshed and chaos equals control. He was referring to Iraq, but he also meant Iran."

The USUK media knows it too but, being the amoral opportunists and cowards they are, remain silent. Only their colleagues in the Islamic world might more honestly describe the plight of their compatriots in this new, genocidal chapter of Anglo-American imperialism.

Lest we forget the past glories of Rex Britannicus, Pilger reminds us (being a colonial, like me, he would wouldn't he?):

"In Late Victorian Holocausts, the historian Mike Davis documents that as many as 21 million Indians died unnecessarily in famines criminally imposed by British colonial policies. Moreover, since the formal demise of that glorious imperium, declassified files make it clear that British governments have borne 'significant responsibility' for the direct or indirect deaths of between 8.6 million and 13.5 million people throughout the world from military interventions and at the hands of regimes strongly supported by Britain. The historian Mark Curtis calls these victims 'unpeople'."

"Rejoice! said Margaret Thatcher. Celebrate! says [Gordon] Brown. Spot the difference." So much for British values.

The 'values' that miserable little shit, Blair, used to deny the human rights of the Chagos Islanders who went to the courts, asking only for the return of their home in the Indian Ocean. A home from which they were forcibly expelled by the nazis in the British Foreign Office just because the Americans told the Brits they wanted the islands to build a forward attack base for their heavy bombers.

Diego Garcia, or 'Fantasy Island' as US service personnel call it will be used when the green light flashes for a nuclear blitzkrieg on Iran. Only Pilger, amongst the amassed numbers of Brit journalists, had the decency to first alert Britain to the plight of the Chagos islanders. Much of the rest of Britain stays silent, unaware of the criminal behaviour of their masters. Criminal behaviour in which, with hardly an exception, Britain's media are accomplices.

For it is they who, in the interests of their owners, have created an artificial bubble of unreality the MSM calls 'news-reporting', who actively help perpetuate the corporate state's new fascists' rule. Fascists like the Bush-Cheney-Blair troika. "Look behind the one-way moral screen and you will distinguish the Blairite elite by its loathing of the humane principles that mark a real democracy."

It is no accident that in this Unreality the MSM has become part of a privileged, much-needed 'apparat' without whose constant support the troika would collapse and without whom its killing sprees be brought to an immediate halt. It is no accident that the troika travel around in heavily armoured limos and are unreachable, through that same one-way screen, by ordinary folk. For they, like Stalin, live in constant fear of the people they dupe over and over again and whose lives they sacrifice in such numbers in their endless wars.

In fact, what we now have in the West is a pre-revolutionary state of disaffection and collective anger. A state which terrifies the shit out of the troika, its media lackeys and its military alike. A state of unrest which will not go away but, instead, will grow as the tectonic plates of perception between the haves in their Media-led world and the have-nots, silenced except for the internet and the blogosphere, pull ever wider apart.

Up until now, the diabolic troika have used war and their pretend "War on Terror" to control and distract the population. But they've been sussed. They stand exposed as the inhuman creatures they are, predators now preparing the world for Armageddon in Iran.

If we their victims --for sure as hell we'll all pay the price one way or another when the missiles start to fly-- cannot now awake out of the trance they have put us in and instead ignore the few warning voices that John Pilger represents, then we shall be no better than the Germans who 'looked from the side' as their Fuehrer drove them all to hell and the Goetterdammerung.
